• Please be on time.  Arrive 10-15 minutes before class is scheduled to allow time to register and set up your mat. 
• Wear shorts or footless tights and clothes that allow you to move easily and that enable the teacher to observe you well.  Yoga is always practiced in bare feet.
• Please do not wear perfume or heavy jewelry.
• Yoga is best practicecd on an empty stomach.  Please wait a few hours after a heavy meal and at least one hour after a light snack before attending class.
• Please inform me if you are pregnant or have special needs.
• Participation in classes and workshops should always be done under the guidance of your physician.
• Please turn off cell phones and anything that rings or beeps.  If you are on call, let Lynnae know before class begins.

A typical class with Lynnae would go like this:

• A beginning relaxation period to deepen your awareness of your Self
• A reading about yoga or the Yoga Sutras
• A warm up with standing poses which develop flexibility, strength and confidence
• Further poses with a theme such as opening the shoulders or stretching the legs
• Cooling down with more passive poses
• Finishing with Savasana, or corpse pose, which allows students to completely relax and let the changes they have taught their bodies to become deeply learned
• Usually an inspiring poem is read at the end of Savasana
